Furthermore, I have to correct myself -- these clowns are pueblo. While the Hopi are a pueblo people, they are the most isolated and there has been some cultural drift. Usually the term is used for members of Isleta, Laguna, Acoma, San Ildefonso, etc. An example of a mistake a member of the culture would *not* have made. Dana PS - there is no Tano pueblo -- It is fictional. The Pueblo are very secretive about certain elements of their culture and in order to portray as much as he did he had, I think, to do a sort of composite picture to avoid betraying confidences.
