Canada is very distinct from the US. having moved here 10 years ago, its
very clear, as a Canadian living down here, how different Americans are from
Canadians. Different outlook on politics, different views on the role of
governments, etc.

As for driving to Alaska without passports, you've been able to do that
since the Al-Can was built. Jon, I see you've never been to Canada before.
