I used to draw. I don't much any more but I still like to watch people do
it on my TV.

"American Splendor" was a wonderfully quirky, moving film. Sure it was
about a guy that only drew stick figures but he knew people that drew other
things!

"Chasing Amy" had a whole bunch of comic-book-folk perpetrating various
shenanigans. The kind of movie Ben Affleck should have stuck to making
(every time Ben reaches for an action-flick script Jennifer should just
smack him on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper and say "NO!").

"Monkeybone" features frenetic Henry Selik stop motion animation AND Rose
McGowan in a sexy cat suit. It also remains Chris Kattan's only good
film... he played an animated corpse.

"Secondhand Lions" is a great film full of adventure, humor and heart. The
main character grows up to be a cartoonist with on screen work done by the
wonderful Berkeley Breathed. (OKAY - I know I'm stretching the point
here... but damn I'm getting tired and desperate!)

And the featured film of the list:

"Better of Dead" is very funny. So are the sadistic "cute and fuzzy
bunnies" which populate Lane Meyer's sketchbook. It also has one of the
best delivered lines in filmdom: "Gee, I'm real sorry your mom blew up,
Ricky."
