My great uncle was an Air Force (Army Air Corps) cargo pilot. He started by
going east being stationed in various places across North Africa and the Middle
East to just west of India. They then brought him back to the US and he
started going west, being stationed to various Pacific islands and then South
East Asia to just east of India.

He went around the world accept for the span of India!

My mother was a young girl. Her family had a shepheard that went to war. He
was givin to the army to be trained as a combat dog.

My paternal grandfather was a SeeBea. He lead construction teams that built
airbases on pacific islands. He was wounded and unable to return to
construction when he got back. Tried to be a contractor, but was not really
"business" minded and ended up bankrupt when he died as a young man in his
early forties.

My WWII immediate family.
