I'm not sure if that is a good idea or not. There is a certain amount of
maturity and wisdom that are supposed to come with age. Of course that is
highly arguable whether some people ever achieve that.  : )  It is kinda
funny that they would have made it 35 when the average expected lifespan was
so much lower than it is now.

I think the voting age and the driving age should be raised to 21. If you
are too immature to drink then you shouldn't be voting or driving either.

Of course I didn't think that when I was 16....   ; )

I love the idea. The average age in the senate is in the 60's now. I would
also advocate the removal of the minimum age restrictions for the senate -
its 35 now from what I understand. Personally I think it should be set to
the voting age.
