But even if, supposing, the war in Iraq has the most moral of basis --
an assertion with which I do not agree -- but even supposing it does,
isn't the problem now that any victory there will have to come at a
ruinous cost which the public will not tolerate? Let alone any
invasion of Iraq, my God, GW apparently recently said *that* was on
the table....

Bottom line, I am reminded of one of the major lessons of the
neighborhood organizer -- it doesn't matter what *you* think the
people need. The only thing that matters is what *they* think they
need.
