My point is, those 2 statements side by side don't make sense: you're saying that when a civilian Israeli murders innocents it's the action of an individual, but when a Palestinian does it, it's indicitive of the population as a whole. I don't believe that the majority of either side would not be agreeable to a 2 state solution. That doesn't mean that they won't talk tough, and both sides would be happy to see the other disappear, but 90% of both sides are willing to compromise. Throughout the 90s Palestinians and Jews lived together, worked together, and married one another with few problems.
