I guess I would add a few more items to the profit column,

Like remove a Brutal Dictator, possibly starting to dismantle a major
cartel, disrupting terrorist activities, that were going on in certain parts
of the country.

By your scale here, I guess you don't think the US did the right thing in
Europe in WWII

When it becomes OK to fire missiles at the US military how quickly does it
become OK to do other things? Like blow up Naval ships, or maybe even attack
bases in various countries.
