That's sort of my feeling as well. The enormity of it...I'm sure several people just sat quickly and went W. T. F. when they were told. And they weren't in a public room with several live and rolling cameras on them. It was a terrible situation, I don't think he handled it badly.
I don't particularly think it meant anything. I think it may have been worse if something like that happened, and he knew EXACTLY what to do within a minute and started barking orders. Then people would have said he knew it was coming.
