Most Red Sox bandwagoners were onboard because the Sox presented the best 
alternative to the Yanks. Now that you've gotten that monkey off your back 
and slayed the evil dragon, I think you'll see the "pink hatters" dropping 
off pretty quickly.

I know I have. Course, you'll still have to deal with those people who just 
like to root for a winner, the spineless folks with no loyalty.....you know, 
Yankee fans who live in Iowa example. (of which there are THOUSANDS).
