Sorry, don't know Houston *that* well. I'm mainly familiar with the areas south of the Astrodome, and not intimately. But I *am* pointing out that there is a large shelter (Star of Hope) south of the Astrodome and in the time I was there (2001) it was common to see groups of people in the parking lots and on the street corners in the area. Are they feeding those people in the Astrodome by the way? It seems one can no longer take these things for granted. The president of Jefferson parish has gone on record saying that FEMA was turning away supplies as late as Monday. Dana
