Social security has been raped by Congress and spent. So the question is, who will pay for that and how? I fancy the Welfare version, but there's really 4 types of solutions I suppose: 1.) Social security w/ lockbox mod 2.) Partial SS. E.g., each year your savings would have to meet some formula number or you'd be put on SS for 5 years. Something like that. 3.) Welfare. Nobody pays and you welfare the dummies. 4.) Kill the whole thing and let people deal with it.
