Sue her and the shop she works for. I know - sue-happy USA - but what she did was wrong as the manager of a public shop. Seriously. Tell it to a lawyer who does free consultations. Maybe he wants some publicity for sueing a business in the area for gross client negligence or whatever it'd be called. :)
