The problem, as I see it, is the extremism on both sides of the aisle. Michael Moore, moveon.org, Rush, Pat Robertson, certain influences at Fox News - they are all training people to simply hate everything about the "other side". So now all that people are doing is running around trying to dig up every little crumb of evidence they can that the "other side" is evil. This indoctrination of viewpoints is washed into everyone's brains by a massive media blitz. People choose a side and then proceed to build their own little world with self fulfilling prophecy. Eventually everyone's so busy hating each other they can't work towards any common goal at all. I must say that the people who are really coming out on top in this are the politicians. Not only do *BOTH* parties have a ruthless army of hate filled dittoheads, but in the meantimes no-one's really paying attention to who they are electing as long as it's not someone from the "other side". It's no wonder people are getting elected who shouldn't be. No-one on either side is paying any attention to who they are electing, only to who they *aren't* electing. I for one would love to see a "no confidence" box in the next election that means "all the candidates are bozos, try again please. -Cameron ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:173836 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
