You are right. Israel has made concessions and tried for peace. But how much of that was during Arafat's leadership of the Palestinians? Arafat would say one thing and do another. I think we have to move forward under a new banner, a banner of trust until there is proof that trust will not work. It will be hard. And there will be very trying times. I think Israel and the world need to allow the Palestinians the time to show there true intent. Judge not the actions of splinter radical groups who will never be satisfied but judge the active Palestinian government. Israel has made a huge step forward and a tremendous leap of faith. Now give the Palestinians time to prove they too want peace. The rocket attacks are a good measuring stick. Let's see how the Palestinians handle the attacks and the those who committed those crimes. My hope is that now the Palestinian leadership has a trump card (Israel's actions, exiting Gaza etc...). hopefully tha Palestinian Authority can now start shutting down radical groups bent on fighting, and killing. I believe most (not all) Palestinians want peace (same with Israelis), They have observed Israel's olive branch and will side with their government in quelling the radicals that only insite more violence. Mothers do not want there children grwoing up in war and endlessly fighting and killing. For the most part prosperous people do not want to fight and kill. Hopefully we can endure the bumps in the road to peace. In this case it is the destination not the journey that is important. PS. I apologies if my prior post seemed personal.
