Bah its wonderful i'm happy with Home Version and Pro and Even Whistler
Advanced Server Beta 2 is great.

TO run old Applications on XP you need to right click the EXE file and go
into compatibility mode and then set 98/ME, or 2000 or nt 4.0
And you should have no problems. Even with Pro version games run good i only
had 1 old game i had to have run in compatibility mode.

SOME Old printers and scanners you will have to replace with new ones since
old drivers might not work (Try old win2000 drivers if available)

And than you should be set
