No Exo 21:12 He that strikes a man, so that he dies, shall be surely put to death. The people who are put to death are put to death for a reason. They committed the crime of murder. Rom 13:1 Everyone must obey state authorities, because no authority exists without God's permission, and the existing authorities have been put there by God. It is not for me to decide if the war is unnecessary, regardless if I am happy with it or not. That is for the "authorities." If I remember correctly, the war was passed through the house and senate, meaning many "authorities" supported it. If I am unhappy with the state of my government, I will express it in the next set of elections, as should all other citizens of our great country or I will contact my senators and representative. You see none in a supposedly Christian organization celebrated the > persecution of those whose opinions differ from their own? In the same > organization celebrating the murder of doctors? Yes, I do see hypocrisy in many Christian or so-called "Christian" organizations, especially televangelist. However, you cannot broad stroke all Christians into these groups. I would dare say most Christian abhor these killing of doctors on the street as well. It seems like you are letting a vocal minority prejudice your view of all Christians (which, IMHO, is similar to what is hurting the democratic party these days-many people view all democrats as extreme leftist which certainly isn't true; When is the last time a Democrat claimed to be liberal? Compare that to hundreds of Republicans who have claimed to be Conservative). Well... I suppose I'm wrong. Perhaps all of that is a fundamental part of > Christianity. Not quite. I am a Christian, meaning I don't just go to church on Sunday and forget it about for the rest of the week (a Sunday morning social club if you will). I believe that Jesus Christ is my redeemer and Savior. I do not condone the killing of doctors. People who kill doctors for no reason besides their willingness to perform abortions are also condemned to death by the Bible. Nor do any Christians I associate with. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:174515 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
