I think the sole purpose of *publicly funded* education is to produce people that are productive in our society. They should understand how to analyze career choices, how to buy a house, how to buy a car, how to fund a college education, how taxes work, and how to invest; amongst other things. Therefore we should test on these things. As to the metrics, I've just provided them: able to be productive in our society. The rest of their abilities are up to them and, if they're productive, they'll have the ability to provide for themselves whatever they desire. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Sams Teach Yourself Regular Expressions in 10 Minutes by Ben Forta http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=40 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:176041 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
