I was making a specific point about the separation of church and
state.  Given what some have said about the separation of church and
state, they were appropriate. Moreover one of the strongest arguments
used by the right wing right now is original intent, the intent of
those who drafted the declaration of independence and the constitution
should be looked at. In this case, the framers were quite strongly
against religious involvement in government. Given that the shrub
administration has made it a point about the original intent as being
critical to their idea of a SCOTUS justice, its apparent that
religious involvement isn't one of them.
