I have the iPod Mini, and have been quite satisfied with it. Still haven't filled it up yet. What I've found is that you can't listen to the whole thing all the time. so the mini worked out find for us.
We also have a Belkin Tunebase Min FM transmitter (see http://playlistmag.com/products/complete/116-detail.php for a review). They work OK in general. It has 4 preset stations on it that is very useful (you can set them yourself). The chief drawback is when a radio station gets on the frequency you've been listening to. It can be a bit of a pain finding a new station. At the same time I like the goose neck holder on it.
