I watch anime too... Do I lose points or gain them? With that said, I feel defensive... Like I should be telling you that I don't have a hump or just one single eyebrow... :)
I bought my first motorcycle 2 years ago and I'll never look back! (It is a Buell --the 'sport bike' made by Harley Davidson) It's the thing I do to give my eyes a break from the screen! And yes... Games... Sweet sweet video games. I considered playing City of Heroes... But I'm a bit concerned. I play WoW... Halo and Starcraft (mainly with my roommate and our friends when we feel the need to group-stress-release-kick-each-others-butts)... And I'm itching to get in on Civ 4. If I pick something else up, I'm going to have to drop one (or two) because I do still enjoy having a social life! :) The best thing about Civilization (though I haven't played the latest one yet) is that it is turn based... So you can take a break... Save and come back... And it will be there. Sure you can save in WoW, in a sense... But it's not like you can do that 'at any time' without there being consequences, or giving up advantages. The thing about WoW (the MMORPG I have experience with) is that there are occasionally changes, and sometimes they do work do my disadvantage... But just as often, they make changes that work to my advantage. I recall a few times where they have made a number of changes to my characters abilities and stats and then refunded all of our talent points so we can re-spec. That can be handy and save a lot of expense... Especially for those of us that contemplate respecing on a regular basis! :) I guess the thing I like about them IS the fact that they are always making changes. I'd be more upset if they didn't reset the balances and such on occasion, because sometimes it turns out that the classes are completely unbalanced, etc... WAY COOL!!! ^_^ I was never into the whole Real Time Strategy stuff. I almost got WoW as well, but I got into City of Heroes instead. Boy, have they been CHANGING that game! It's so different from what it was a few months ago. They decided to redesign the entire thing after they had sold, gottne subscribers, and ran it for over a year. Crazy stuff. I got so upset that I started writing to the message boards, both 'missives' I shall call them got good responses, but never one from a developer *chuckle*. I am wondering if MMORPGs are pointless since with the huge amount of invested time, the developers can just switch the rules on you if they like and at that point, if you don't like it...what happens to all the time you spent leveling?
