There is the cryptic reference to "official A" as the person that told
Libby that he had talked with Novak about Ms. Plame and that Novak
would be writing a story about Ms. Plame.

When Mr. Fitzgerald was asked about the identity of "Official A" he
said he couldn't say any more than what was in the indictment. In
other words, he didn't have enough evidence to charge "Official A"
with a crime because Libby was obstructing justice.

This puts Libby in a horrible spot:

1.) Take it to trial, drag the Whitehouse through hell while doing it,
possibly jeopardize 2006 elections, and still maybe go to jail, or

2.) Cut a plea bargain which I doubt Mr. Fitzgerald would do without
getting some information which would surely be the evidence necessary
to indict "Official A" otherwise known as Rove.
