I know, I know ... WAY too hopeful.  I guess I wasn't expecting it,
but I was hoping for it.  By completely reversing himself on his
philosophy he's revealed himself as a spineless wuss.

I could see it if he were only a first term Pres, but he's a second
termer and he originally put up an unorthodox pick, albeit a dumb one;
but he should've at least stuck to that theme!

I mean, why even announce it himself?  He should've had those that
really chose the nominee do it.

One last point about "conservative": I have no problem with it.  If
that's his constraint why not pick Janice Rogers-Brown?  Answer:
because she's a libertarian.  That would squash Mr. Bush's moral
authoritarianism and jeopardize things like the unconstitutional
"Patriot" Act.

What a complete wuss.
