LOL...I went with my best friend and his family, we rented a car, and on our way out of Shannon airport, his Dad sideswiped a mailbox. It was the first of many. When we finally returned the car, the whole passenger side looked like hell. There were TONS of scratches. Lucky for us, the rental car company never even looked at the car.
It's really narrow, yea, but the harder part is that you're not used to driving on that side of the road, or on the "wrong" side of the car. Plus, it's a stick, which is just awkward when you're used to shifting with your right hand. He really wasn't a very good driver to start with, either. Made for scary moments when passing those huge trucks on a "road" that isn't much wider than a breakdown lane around here. And - they drive CRAZY over there, like 60mph where I'd be scared to go faster than 30. Guess that might be why a lot of WRC (Road Rally) drivers are from that part of the world....
