Last Thanksgiving, I was outside throwing the ball for Max when my Mom came out with bits and pieces of things for the compost heap. Max took the ball to her, instead, presumably because she was closer. With her hands full, she couldn't pick up the ball, so she passed it to me, just like we were playing soccer. Except Max just saw the ball move. And he came after it. I had to jump over the fool dog as he blissfully plowed through the place I was standing.
