I dunno if she's American friendly or not but: 1.) Her election doesn't say much about whether Berlin's streets would burn if Mr. Bush showed up, and 2.) Technically the answer to your question is, I think, no - she was installed by parliment. Further the interesting thing about this weekend crappy Bush numbers is not so much that they're crappy, but that the level of intensity is WAY up. That is, those that "strongly agree" is way up. So if the level of intensity is up for Americans, think of what's it's like for non-Americans! (Uh, well, I guess we don't have to wonder.
