Mr. Bush has been wrongly criticized for cronyism with the Brownie appointment as that's how Washington works. Granted via Cheney he has probably been the most organized about it, but you can't fault him for that alone. The problem is in the cronies he picked especially given 9/11 - there have got to be a few key positions that you say, "ok, we want a buddy to get this spot, but they've got to be qualified or we'll need to look elsewhere." Mr. Bush didn't do that despite the critically of the role. It's just pure bad judgement. We saw it with the Meirs nomination, Rumsfeld, etc. Further, not only does he have bad judgement when it comes to staffing, he punishes his no-men. Frequently they're fired or resign (O'Neil, Powell, etc.) That's just plain poor management. It's clear that for Iraq Mr. Bush went with ideology (Cheney) over practicality (Powell, Lindsey). That's pure bad management. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:180035 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
