We just got back to Boonville. From our area, it doesn't even look like
a single leaf was disturbed. It was late, so we didn't go driving
around to look at the damage. We heard about an emergency state so we
didn't want to push our luck anyway.

I was wrong about the ending location. The tornado stopped around
Gentryville, IN. That is a pretty historic location, too. It is only a
few miles from Lincoln Natl Boyhood Monument. Also, within about five
miles is Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN.

All of those areas look to have been spared.

Wow. I gather you're okay.

We had a tornado that went through and flattened half a neighboring town
this summer. The Feds had promised disaster funding and then Katrina
hit. So the Feds cancelled their relief funding here to reallocate it to
the high publicity area of Katrina.

We also had one county that had a record 28 tornados in one day.
Fortunately those didn't touch down in highly populated areas.
