So the _minority_ in this case, homosexuals who wish to marry, DON'T
get the benefits of marriage or civil unions in Texas because of
majority rule, which effectively negates your argument above (majority
rules, minority still has 'certain liberties which may not be taken
away')... In this case, despite what you have said ('certain liberties
which may not be taken away') this is a "liberty" a certain part of
the population shouldn't and can't have. By majority rule.
