While that's a tempting argument, the problem is if we did that Iraq would spiral into civil war. Hundreds of thousands would die due to the mess Mr. Bush created and Iraq would likely become an Iranian state or a new terrorist haven ala Afghanistan c. 2000. Ultimately all of that would be our problem all over again, but WAY larger.
