I think it's conceivable that he would not not publish or discuss, then disclose to a grand jury. A lot of the press feels that you have to pick your fights over disclosure of sources, and this is not the right one to pick. However, have no more than skimmed a couple stories, been busy. Would have missed it altogether without this thread. We'll see.
