Well, I think insane may be too strong a word.

So, if we remember from the Dharma video - the guys in the bunker have
to enter code every 102 minutes, or whatever. My theory was that the
entering of the code implied that the user had not been 'taken over'.
So maybe not insane per se. I think maybe I had the idea they were
"wild", since the chick from camp 2 said they walk w/o making sound,
etc.

So I take it back - no insanity. However, I do think the 'event' that
the scientist spoke of resulted in the humans becoming - if not insane
- something else. The Dharma guys DEFINITELY screwed something up.

I'd be willing to bet - they were trying to achive something - maybe
pyschic powers - maybe extending the life of humans - and then
something went wrong, they have to quarantine the island off, and
leave a few 'sane' people behind to monitor them.
