Like it or not the country was at least stable when Saddam was in power.  Now 
there are insurrgencies everywhere and there would be a complete power vacuum 
if we left now.

Well, since we made the mess we at least need to do our best to prevent this.  
A large-scale conflict in Iraq could easily spill over its borders...even 
invovling one of our NATO allies (Turkey).
