Well, I'm trying to gain muscle mass which, surprisingly, is *very*
difficult to do (at least for me). And it's practically impossible to
lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. It's 90% diet. My wife
still can't understand how I can get on the scale, see the numbers go
up, and be happy.

Until I started with the diet I was able to gain some strength, but
never any real size. (of course I also wasn't doing the right
workouts). As soon as I got my diet right everything swung into place
and I don't follow it that religiously.

The nutrient timing really works, but, yeah, it's not something for
casual life if you think of that as not worrying about your diet. I
don't notice it much anymore but maybe that's because one night I had
Reese's and a protein shake for dinner.

The thing is, I've gotta exercise but I can't do cardio. Too boring.
I can swim for a bit, and I mountain/road bike, but it was never
enough to consistently maintain fitness. So I turned to weight
training and it works out fine.

I crank some of Tim's Madball psycho music and lift away. (3 day
push/pull split if you're into such things)
