Sometimes that works, but sometimes it doesn't always save the word or
something.

 

I have had a lot of problems with it hiding the word I actually want, I have
to backspace, then pick the first part of the word, then finish typing.

yes. it will.  if you get into texting mode, t9 as the way of typing 
and type some words, then go to ABC mode, type the new word, 
then go back into t9, type a word and then send. 

it will remember everything it didnt know before.  so basically 
when i get a new phone, i make a list of all the words, and just put as 
many as i can, in as many messages as necessary, and then i have 
them all. 

its the shit.  i HATED it before i knew what it was doing. and now that i
do, 
there is no looking back, trust me. 

there are other iterations of the technology, some phones call it iTEXT i
think 
and other trendy as fuck names, but the LG phones that i have had, have all 
had it, and it rocks. im sure motorola has some variation in theirs... 
i didnt like 
that as much as t9, but anyway, its dope.
