Then you don't understand fine motoring ;-) The point is not to make
all the lights, it's to get the pole postion. To be in control,
rather than to be behind some big slow piece of crap or a moron.

It's about avoiding accidents rather than taking a "if get hit then
this metal will protect me" approach. Always have an exit strategy
and always be first - then there will be no accident to be protected
from.

(plus it's fun to unleash big ft-lbs of torque onto your butt every
chance you get. It'll make you giggle like a school girl every time.
Life's little thrills can really be rewarding.)

LMAO! That's a good one. Look, I'm not telling you my opinion, I'm
telling you the facts. Ignoring my own experience, I've heard from
cops in multiple cities who have said that 90% of the accidents they
deal with happen in the following way:

1.) Heavy traffic, i.e., bumper to bumper
2.) SUV driver not paying attention to traffic slowing down.
3.) SUV driver realizes traffic stopped or slowed and slams on brakes.
4.) Car behind SUV can't see the brake lights in front of the SUV so
they have no warning that the SUV driver is not paying attention until
the SUV is laying rubber. Crunch.

What you're saying is great textbook stuff that I don't disagree, but
in bumper to bumper traffic the only warning a driver has is the guy
in front of him unless she can see past or through that vehicle.

BTW that type of accident is the SUV driver's fault for not paying
attention unless it's a no-fault state and then it's both of their
faults for being on the road in the first place.
