I believe it. When I was about 10 our cat went toe to toe with the junkyard
dog across the alley from us. The owner complained a bit but our reaction
was something along the lines of "*this* cat? This seven pound cat? Beat up
your German shepherd?" The man knew when to fold a losing hand. To be fair I
should mention that the shepherd was on a chain and Pusheen had kittens at
the time...
