I've lived Guam, Saipan, Okinawa and have traveled to many other historic war sites. That feeling you get at the Arizona Memorial is prevalent throughout the South Pacific and not only related to locations of American tragedy. You get that same feeling on the suicide cliffs on Saipan and Okinawa, the cave of the Virgins, Green Beach, White Beach and nearly every other landing zone. You can stand on the beach in Saipan and still see Amtracks in the water 100 yards off shore. Scuba diving and snorkeling right off shore renders shrapnel etc ... not to mention wreck diving.
I hope to make it to Midway, Iwo Jima and Chichi Jima someday. -----Original Message----- From: G [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 8:19 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Pearl Harbor Ever been to the USS Arizona memorial?
