along that same line... we have a cat, an outside cat... who rocky really doesnt ever see. however whenever another animal comes near the deck, he perks up in a second, gets on full battle armor (hair up on his back) and goes to the back door... barking like a madman... when the animal leaves... he sits there, and watches to make sure she is ok, and then comes back to the couch puts his head on my legs (stretched across to the ottoman) and goes back to sleep as i yell at the tv (usually because some football team has either thrown an interception or trump fired the wrong person).
