WCVB is such a whore of a station... although most others are even worse. But they LOVE these "what's going to kill you tomorrow? We'll tell you at 11!" type stories. They've done non-news stories on how escalators can kill you (or you pets!) and how laptops heating up can scar you for life and how video games can cause seizures. They just did a story called "Potential Cyber-Smut Device Among Season's Hottest Gifts" which talked about the fact that the video iPod could play, egad!, pornography! The story began: "One of the holiday season's hottest gifts could carry some pretty steamy content that kids might be able to access." - as if you could buy it with porn on it. So... now they're giving us the "news" that if you pump loud music into your head all day you'll go deaf.
