"I may not be the doctor for your daughter" That sums it up for me. Get another doctor, today if you can. You insurance won't let them change until next month (way to long to let this condition go on) you may want to try an emergency room visit at a good hospital.
I just can not fathom any doctor not worrying about a 12 pound loss in a six week period for any child, even an overweight child this rate would probably be too aggressive. And I'm pretty sure 52 pounds was not overweight to begin with. Even if somebody is slipping sweets or something to the child they are obviously not getting enough in to prevent weight loss. The mother and child need help, and this could get very serious very fast. Find a doctor that will take this serious, who will help them stop the weight loss, then find the cause for it if it is not do to some physical ailment. -------------- Ian Skinner Web Programmer BloodSource www.BloodSource.org Sacramento, CA "C code.
