revolting against any king, dictator, whatever is going to have consequences, but if the masses wanted it, they would have stood up. saddam was not in power in the 1800's or the 1700's and they seemed to operate fine with their theocracy, right? the fertile crescent was the birthplace of civilization, they were around a lot longer than our anglo-saxon ancestors, and they didnt have a democracy then, did they? whatever.
