Is that "dubiously" meant to indicate that you're dubious as to his
knowledge, or dubious as to the fact that the Pentagon has been
"planning" for two-front wars since the 80s?

As dubious as it may sound, it is absolutely true, the Pentagon has
been planning this sort of scenario for decades, literally. It really
is nothing new. In fact, you can see the underpinnings of the strategy
in the Dual front (European and Pacific Theatres) in WW2.

The only thing that has changed really is the amount of men and
materiel we'd have to do it with, and that is simply a function of
technology.
