I'm just not seeing how this means that much. It's good, and an election is a necessary part of democracy, but any answer to Iraq's future will take years, maybe decades. Had this been a bottom up thing like the Orange revolution, then I'd agree. But this top-down approach seems like cheering that you've hired a coach for a new football franchise. Ok, great. But you're still a long way from a team and a really long way from your first game.
