There is no determing what is "right" in this. There's only what
happens. We can't replay it and try the alternate approach to see if
it would have been more to our liking.

There have certainly been good things to come out of this, like Saddam
and crew not being there to torture people, and terrorists being drawn
to Iraq instead of attacking the US these past several years. At the
same time, according to the CIA, our being there has increased the
amount of terrorists overall, Iran moving more fundamentalist in
reaction to the move to more democracy in Iraq, and yes innocent
people have died at the hands of our soldiers.

And there's no waiting for it to be over. History marches ever on with
each event playing a part.
