Ok, let's take my father-in-law who's a machinist. He saw that manufacturing was on the way out years ago and switched to the millwrights. Then he got his security clearance for nuclear power plants and he travels around the country doing Nuke plant refurbishing. The point is not the job, it's being smart enough to do some career engineering. You can't just expect that any job you want to do will be there until you retire. You have to plan, forecast, and adapt to the market. Unfortunately, I don't think High School is not preparing people to do that and that's my we're losing our competitive edge. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:189253 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
