I never said I like big government or was against states rights. I thought you were claiming to be a libertarian? They aren't conservative except for the financial aspect. I trust our police even though I know personally there's corruption. Find the bad ones, get rid of them and try to fix the problem that let them stray. I don't distrust the whole system because one can go bad. Hell you should never leave your house because who knows when a reckless driver will mow you down. We know they're out there. Hell I think the postman is trying to send telepathic messages to you, better put on your tin cap. I can picture you now sitting in an old bucket seat on the porch of your trailer home, which is at a 25% angle because some cinder blocks fell. No shoes, a couple of teeth, and a shotgun on your lap muttering something like "they ain't gonna get my still" I never said let the president do whatever he wants because I trust him. When this spying was exposed the president said "Hell yes I'm doing it and I'm not going to stop." That tells me he's confident the system wasn't being abused. They were monitoring terrorist and stopped the Brooklyn Bridge bomber. There's lot's of checks and balances in place and if there were abuse we'd know it by now. The Times sat on it for a year, they would have found something in that time.
