Which might be a valid argument if we were talking about a religion class.
But science is not a religion, its science.  Science has rules which explain
what science is and religion does not meet those rules.  At no point does
science say that because the theory of evolution is widely accepted religion
must be wrong.  Science doesn't care about religion.

If there was a testable theory that pertained to any aspect of religion (ID
for example), then science would happily test that.  And if it were proven
to be true, or proven to contradict current theories, science would happily
accept that because science doesn't care about faith, it cares about
testable truths.  At this point all religion has is faith and faith doesn't
mean anything to science.
