And for the non-Christmas-celebrators on the list, the Guster guitarist (Adam), just released an album on his side project, the LeeVees with Rock and Roll chanukau music.
<http://www.leevees.com/> Based on what I've heard, the album is better than anything Guster has put out since Lost and Gone Forever. The meowing stems back to their second album (GoldFly), when a [I assume] rather high-as-a-kite band recorded meowing on a song, because that was what the guitar sounded like. The joke kind of stuck. "The Meowstro sings" version of the album, is just plain annoying, and the joke doesn't hold up well through 45 minutes of music. But, I actually like the shorter "Carol of the Meows".
