Okies..well.

The PS2 *WAS* hard to program for.

It's really only recently that programmers have learnt the system and
are able to get better graphics and really maximise the performance.
Sadly, all this has occurred at the end of the system's life cycle.

But then , they are saying too that programmers aren't up on the Xbox
360 yet either. The great graphics we are seeing is more or less due to
the better graphics, memory and processor, not necessarily because
they are tapping the full power of the machine. ElderScrolls IV team
claims to have gone back to rewrite shaders etc. to really take
advantage of the system, because they felt that Oblivion just wasn't
really maximising performance on the XBox 360. To this I say SCREW THE
360!!
If the game is ready for PC release then release it first on PC!!
RAARRGGHHHH!!! *ahem*
Back to the topic, Microsoft has been said to have much better
developer tools and developer support out the box and from the get go
for the 360. Sony's developers are scrambling, and are having to come
up with many systems themselves.

Given this, it's not difficult to see why Insiders are saying that the
PS3 is going to be a problem. The Cell processor isn't even like a
Triple Processor PC, it's a completely new architecture. What's the
next major show? May for E3?
Let's see what happens then :-)

As for too many games to play, right now I'm starved for a decent RPG.
I cannot wait for ElderScrolls IV: Oblivion to be released!!
